Chris Hill's artwork blurs the line between painting and sculpture – subtle gradients of color soften the planar outcroppings of welded steel, infusing rigid industrial materials with warmth and malleability. Working from his sundrenched Santa Fe, NM studio, Hill discovers and interprets his memories of his past life within the dynamic and urban landscape of Chicago creating both monumental and intimate works that echo the dichotomy between Santa Fe and Chicago.
